COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS 2008-2009

 

 

Audit Committee

 

Purpose: To audit the Shrine’s books for Annual Meeting in March.

By-Laws Committee

 

Purpose: To propose and handle all changes to the By-Laws

Continuing Service Award Committee

 

Purpose: To select a recipient for a Continuing Service Award.  This award may be given to any member, including Past Presiding Officers, of the Shrine, in recognition of continuing loyal support to the Shrine.  A certificate ordered from Supreme Worthy Scribe, should be presented to the recipient.

Finance Committee

 

Purpose: To oversee payment of bills and any monetary decisions.

Instruction Committee

 

Purpose: To instruct new members.  Meet two times a year with new members in a social gathering, giving information relative to the Shrine and Material Objective Committees, as they deem advisable.

Material Objective Committee

 

Purpose: To investigate and report on all applications for assistance from the Material Objective Fund.

Miriam Award Committee

 

Purpose: To select a recipient who cannot be a present or past-elected line officer of any Shrine.  The committee shall arrange for a proper award ceremony.

New Membership Committee

 

Purpose: Hold two meetings during the year, compile a list of prospective and eligible members.  WHP and WOS automatic members.

Personal Contact Committee

 

Purpose: To obtain a list from the Scribe, divide the names and contact those members who do not attend White Shrine meetings.  To hold two informal meetings during the year.  Secondly, to promote sociability and acquaintance among members.  Report activities at the Annual Meeting.
